Leaf Suncatchers

I'd been cutting out crepe paper leaves to drop on the toddlers during song time, and had given E tissue paper and crepe paper scraps to cut up whilst I did this, which we then laminated. It looked good so we had a go with some of the leave that I'd cut out, and added some tissue paper ones too.

You could also do this using sticky backed plastic but since toddler group has a laminator it seems a lot easier.

Using crepe tissue paper gave the leaves texture, and are more sturdy for toddlers than tissue paper. Plus, it's easier to cut many leaves out at one from crepe paper than tissue.

It's lovely to brighten a window on an Autumn day.

Here are the ones the toddlers made this morning. Even the smallest toddlers were having a go, as there was no glue and no small parts.
