Kipper

Did you know that Kipper is 25 years old? He's been a firm favourite in our household for over nine years, since we read our four month old a copy of "Honk" in our holiday home. On our return we rapidly started acquiring more Mick Inkpen books, and in more recent years Zoe and Beans, the excellent collaboration with his daughter Chloe Inkpen.

So here is our Kipper inspired craft, and Happy Birthday Kipper.

I created the tempted sketching the shape after looking at an image of Kipper. For the ears, you need to make them a bit longer so you can stick them down to the back of the head.

The toddlers made some fantastic Kippers, I love the variation on ear positioning, giving them a very Kipper-like expressions.
